| The Cyrillic Keyboard Layout |
[Jun. 27th, 2007|11:15 pm] |
Throughout my work as a programmer and a translator who does typing in four languages, too much time is taken during keyboard layout switching. Time has come to change this — finally. X11 has “latin” layout which eliminated for me the need for separate US and Polish layouts (and moreover, now I can type in almost any Western and Central European language). But there just wasn't a cyrillic layout, so I have made my own one.
Shift — in upper left
- AltGr — in lower right
- AltGr + Shift — in upper right
UPD: The layout itself is available here. |

This journal will contain little bits and pieces of technical (primarily Unix) nature which I have found to be amusing for myself and consider useful for others.
Due to the fact that audience might be from just everywhere and to prevent ethnic, cultural and other holywars, blog entries will be primarily in English.
However, they might be sprinkled with every other kind of language I would see fit. |
